Julie announces candidacy

April 14th - Julie Rogers formally announced her candidacy Monday night, April 14 to a large crowd at the Portage library.

Julie Rogers has outraised the field with nearly $20,000 as of the filing deadline on January 30, 2008. She is the first Democratic candidate to have a real shot at winning this district. To read more about the article click on the link below:

September 9 - Julie Rogers has adopted a 2 mile stretch of I-94 near Galesburg through MDOT's Adopt-A-Highway program and requests assistance cleaning up the trash and beautifying it. She will be conducting a mandatory safety training at 1 PM Sunday Sept 9 at 7028 Oakland Drive (Portage United Methodist Church at the corner of Romence and Oakland Dr.) for 20 minutes. Following the training, the group will carpool to the site on I-94 and pick up trash until approximately 4 PM. Adults and children over age 12 are welcome to help!
